Based on everything I've experienced, I can say that:

True friends are those who:

  • Recognize your abilities, don't focus on limitations

  • Become partners in your dreams, don't see you as weak

  • Want to learn from your experiences, not just help you

  • Treat you "normally" - because you are just as normal!

Common Misconceptions and Their Reality ЁЯдФ

Misconception: "How do you befriend people with disabilities?"

Reality: Just like you would with any human being! We also watch Netflix, drink tea and coffee, and gossip! ЁЯШД

Misconception: "They only need help"

Reality: We have so much to offer too - experience, skills, love, and laughter!

Misconception: "These friendships would be one-sided"

Reality: Many of our friends say they've learned more from us than anywhere else!

Being a nutritionist, I know that good friendship is the best medicine:
